The New Year is on us and we can only hope it is a better year than 2020. Although we survived the 2020 Golf Season with some adjustments to the scheduling and the number of golfers per event, we are hoping we will be able to go back to our regular system for the events we play.
As of now we are planning to hold the events in accordance with our regular system, 144 golfers on 18 Hole courses and 72 on 9 Hole Courses. As I stated in the December Newsletter, we had a successful season even though we had to cut participants in each event to half the normal golfers attending each event. We allowed golfers to Opt Out for the season and put their membership money to the 2021 Golf Season. We had over 100 golfers use that option. We also did not require the active golfers to play the minimum 5 rounds to keep your membership. We have decided that we will go back to the way we have always been as far as requirements. We are hoping everything will go back to normal by the time the Golf Season starts in Mid-April 2021, so there will be NO OPTING OUT and you WILL BE required to play a minimum of 5 rounds of golf to stay on the active membership list. We really liked the Check process so as of now, we are keeping that option open. If we can go back to a Normal Golf Season, we will pay out the winning money at the next event, like we previously did, instead of paying with checks.

If any of you know of any Member that has passed on or just wants to quit to please let us know.
If you want to be ADDED/DELETED, MAKE ANY CHANGES under the WEB SITE MEMBERS OPTIONS/MISCELLANEOUS/WINTER CONTACT INFO to let us know by again using the CONTACT US on the first page of the WEB SITE.
THE GREEN FEE COST THAT GOLFERS PAY TO PLAY WILL BE INCREASED TO $15 PER ROUND. WE WILL BE PAYING THE SAME TO THE GOLF COURSES PER ROUND WHETHER IT IS A 9 HOLE OR 18 HOLE COURSE. SO NOW, WALKING WILL BE $15 AND RIDING WILL BE $15 PLUS COST OF CART. WE ARE NOT SURE WHY THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE FOR 9 HOLE COURSE VERSUS A 18 HOLE COURSE, BUT WE DECIDED IT SHOULD BE THE SAME.
Reino has got the New Schedule posted on our Web Site. I think he still has left open some dates in case Oxbow is willing to let us play an earlier round than what is scheduled and just in case we need to reschedule any cancelled events.
The 2020 yearend members playing stats are on the Web Site under Members Options, so check them out.
I know a lot of this is repeated information, but I want to make sure we stay on top of it.
How about some Humor?
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle, followed by a good stiff drink.
Golf you hit down to make the ball go up. You swing left and the ball goes right. The lowest score wins, on top of that, the winner buys the drinks.
Golf if you find you do not mind playing in the rain, snow, even during a hurricane, here's a valuable tip, your life is in trouble!
Golfers who try to make everything perfect before taking the shot rarely make a perfect shot.
A 'gimme' can best be defined as an agreement between two golfers, neither of whom can putt very well.
Golf is an interesting thing, no matter how badly you play, it's always possible to get worse.
Golf is a hard game to figure. One day you slice it, shank it, hit into all the traps, and miss every green. The next day you go out and for no reason at all, your game really stinks!
If your best shots are the practice swing and the 'gimme putt', you might wish to reconsider this game.
Golf is the only sport where the most feared opponent is you.
Golf is like marriage. If you take yourself too seriously, it will not work, and both are expensive.
The best wood in most amateurs' bags is the pencil.
Hopefully, we will see you in just over 3 months.
