One week ago, we had some snow fall throughout the region but for the most part it is all gone except for the piled-up snow. Today, I heard that a couple of courses in the region are open on a limited basis, which is good news. We are just short of 5 weeks before our first event at Village Green on Monday, April 19 and if the weather continues to cooperate, I think we will be able to start the Golf Season on a positive note.
We will be going back to the way we operated in 2019, with Shotgun Start at 10am Tee Time for the first few events, please check the schedule as that eventually changes to 9am. We will go back to accepting cash or check, but no credit cards, as we will be collecting ALL FEES for the event. Please make that notation in your minds so we do not have any issues with collecting fees. We will also be paying back the winnings, in cash, at each event. The same rules will apply as before in collecting your winnings. If you do not collect your winnings within 30 days, they will be forfeited. If you know you are not going to pick up your winnings inside that timeline, have a friend pick them up for you.
Reino will be putting out the Signup List for the events in April on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 5:00pm. He will send out a notice on the Website reminding everyone about that, so please look for that in the coming days. Also, we are going back to a full event, so Guests WILL BE allowed as in previous years with the same restrictions.
Time for some humor.
Pregnancy and the Benefits of Walking Together
The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands.
The instructor said,
Ladies remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial – it strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier.
“Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops, and try to stay on a soft surface, like a grass path.
Gentlemen remember – you are in this together. It would not hurt you to go walking with her.
“In fact, that shared experience would be good for both of you.”
The room suddenly became very quiet, as the men absorbed this information. After a few moments, a man, his name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand.
The instructor said, “Yes?”
“I was just wondering if it would be all right if she carries a golf bag?”
Well, I think that is about all the information I have for you now. I am looking forward to another good year, now only if I could improve my Golf Game, it could be a GREAT YEAR.
