It is hard to believe that the Golf Season is done for another year.  I would like to thank all the members for your involvement with the Red River Valley Senior Men’s Golf Association.  I think we have one heck of a good group and enjoy golfing with everyone.  We are also very lucky to have the following members, who keep this Association running smoothly.  Those members are Reino Fleck, George Cook, Dick Anderson, Dale Brown, Norm Forster, and the various Course reps that assist at the various golf events.

We had a pretty good Golf Season, although surprisingly, none of our events were ever full.  I am not sure if that is because of the COVID situation still or if there are other reasons why our members aren’t signing up.  I know there is some concern about the time it takes to finish an event, but if you join this Association to play a fast round of golf, you have joined the wrong group.  We do, as golfers, need to play more READY GOLF and that should help shorten the round.  Please read through the rules on our Web Site, as we do have some problems with golfers not always following the rules.

Here is a message from Dick Anderson, who handles all our computer issues and any updates.  Please try to follow his instructions so we can keep everyone’s information up to date.

  1. The e-mailing/texting are an added service to the members, but the members still need to take responsibility to check the web site for any changes and for their signups.  
  1. It is the member’s responsibility to keep the Tour informed of his up-to-date contact information: 
  1. Current cell phone number and service provider.
  2. Current land phone number.
  3. Current e-mail address.
  4. Current mailing address.

Reino is working on next years schedule already and should have a tentative schedule soon.  We are also trying to make sure that ALL members have paid their dues for next year.  That is a process that we are planning on doing some changes to by requiring next years dues paid by September 15th of each year or there will be a $10 late charge added to any paid after the 15th.  That process is a very time consuming, and we need to make it run smoother for Dick Anderson, so he doesn’t have to make all sorts of phone calls. 

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe winter.  It is a pleasure working with all of you with one exception and I think Mark knows who that is.

PS   ALL winnings were mailed out today so those that were on the Not Paid List, will be receiving those funds soon.  Also, I mailed out all the winnings from the Rose Creek Scramble that had not been picked up.
