Well, I guess what I put out in the April Newsletter was not the right information when it comes to the new score keeping procedure and Handicaps. So here is the correct information as per Mr. Dick Anderson, who has been working with the new system from the start of this process.
The USGA assigns all golfers an INDEX to help figure out the proper Handicap for the Golf Course they are playing. We will post under Members Options/Communication on our Web Site, ALL MEMBER HANDICAPS FOR THE GOLF COURSE THAT YOU ARE PLAYING AS SOON AS THE EVENT IS TAKEN DOWN FROM THE SIGNUP BOOK AREA. We also will have that List of Handicaps at the Golf Course available for you to look up. We will be entering all scores from every hole played, but we still need you to total your scores. By using the YOUR INDEX AND THE COURSE SLOPE AND RATING, everyone’s Handicap will be true for the course you are playing. You will probably have a different handicap at every course, depending on the course’s slope and rating. This applies to everyone, not just you. WE EXPECT TO UPDATE ALL MEMBER INDEX’S EVERY OTHER FRIDAY. IF YOU LOOK UNDER MEMBERS OPTIONS/ARCHIVE/PAST NEWSLETTERS/CHANGES-CHANGES-CHANGES YOU WILL READ ALL ABOUT THE NEW CHANGES IN OUR SCORECARDS AND HANDICAP OPERATION.
Well, now for the start of the Golf Season. Our 1st outing is scheduled for a week from Tomorrow, Monday, April 24 at Village Green Golf Course starting at 10:00am. The Sign-up Book is up on our Website to sign up for the upcoming events. If we have to cancel, we will get that information out as fast as we can, so please check the Website for any new information.
Tuesday, April 25 we are schedules for Blueberry Pines Golf Course, which is North of Menahga, Minnesota with a starting time of 10:00am. Again, if we have to cancel, we will get the information out as soon as possible. If we cancel an event, we will try to re-schedule at a later date.
