Yesterday, November 14, 2023, the temperature hit 61 in Fargo/Moorhead. Heck, we could have scheduled an event and played 18 holes of golf in Mid-November in the Red River Valley. Tonight, I ran into one of our members who had just came back from playing a round of golf at Blueberry Pines Golf Course outside of Menahga, MN. My clubs are put away, but I certainly was jealous as he told me about playing a round of golf.
There is not much new news to share with everyone, as we are still in the process of filling the spots that were vacated due to members not meeting the required 5 rounds or just cancelling their membership. We will be able to move most if not all on the Waiting List to Active List for the 2024 Season. If any of our members know anyone who is interested in joining the Red River Valley Senior Men’s Golf Association, let them know that we may even have some openings, even after we move golfers from our Waiting List.
We are looking for anyone that would like to be a Course Rep for a few of the courses. We lost our Rep for Perham, Blueberry Pines, and Forest Hills. We also have some courses that Norm Forster is the Course Rep, but now that he is the Prize Fund Manager, it would be nice if we could replace him. Those courses are Balmoral, Detroit Lakes CC, and Fergus Falls. Dale Brown helps at ALL our events, but it would be nice to have someone assist him at all these courses.
