Today is January 16, 2024, two weeks into the New Year and we have finally had to suffer with some unbearable temperatures over the last few days. The Forecast for the next few days is to continue these temperatures, but in just over a week, we can whip out our shorts as the Temperature is going to be in the High 20’s and lower 30’s. I wonder if Mike and Angie will open the Leonard Golf Course for a few hardcore Golfers.
The Financial Statements are up under Communications, along with several Reports complied by Dick Anderson/Dan Baumgarten pertaining to the 2023 Golf Season. These reports are compiled to show the various categories we keep track of during the Golf Season. I have fun going through them to see who the Big Winners are for the year, aka Sandbaggers. LMAO
We are still looking for golfers who might be interested in assisting at some of our events. Dale Brown usually is at most of our events but on occasion will not be available. The duties he usually does are checking in the golfers for the event and then balancing the monies that we pay to the Golf Course (Green Fees/Cart Fees) and what we put into the Prize Fund. It is not a difficult job if our members sign up properly, but it is an important and necessary job. Please contact me, Reino or George Cook if this interests you so we can get you involved from day one of the next Golf Season.
We have added quite a few new golfers to our Association after the end of the Golf Season, due to golfers not returning or not fulfilling the requirement of playing at least 5 rounds through the Golf Season. I know there are some members that are still working, but make sure you get your 5 rounds out of the way as early as you can, so you don’t have to scramble at the end of the Golf Season to get them in. We don’t ever want to remove members from the Association but will if they don’t meet the required rounds needed to continue their membership.
